But at its heart, our company remains the same—built on the foundation my father laid decades ago.

From Venus Lawn Care to Nasim & Sons: The Beginning

Our journey began in 1997 when my father, Khairi Nasim, moved our family to the United States from Kurdistan, Iraq. We arrived seeking new opportunities, ready to work hard for a better future.

Shortly after settling in, my father started Venus Lawn Care. With a strong work ethic and a drive to provide for his family, he took on whatever jobs came his way—mowing lawns, handling residential cleanups, and making sure every customer was satisfied. Over time, what started as a necessity to feed the family became a true business, built on reliability, quality work, and the relationships he formed in the community.

Overcoming Early Challenges

The early years weren’t easy. Finding customers, learning the ins and outs of the industry, and overcoming language barriers made every day a challenge. But my father never backed down. He worked tirelessly to establish a reputation for quality and dedication.

One of our first big breaks came when we secured a commercial maintenance contract with a national childcare facility. It was a milestone that gave the business stability, but it also taught us an important lesson: never rely too heavily on a single client. When that contract eventually ended, we had to adapt and diversify to continue growing.

Nasim Landscape: A Business Built on Hard Work and Family Values

Through the years, Nasim & Sons expanded beyond residential maintenance. We moved into commercial landscaping, irrigation, snow and ice management, and large-scale landscape construction. What started as a small lawn care business evolved into something much bigger—but our core values never changed.
